Mrs. Guse has been hanging around CCS for quite some time; in fact, this is her 32nd year teaching at Cornerstone! She has taught everything from learning assistance to middle school (most subjects) to high school social studies.
Known for her great love of chocolate, she has a habit of using food in her lessons whenever possible, especially in math! One of her greatest dreams is to travel to all the places she teaches about in her social studies classes. A trip to Italy in 2019 was a dream come true!
She has three grown children who all attended Cornerstone, and she lives in Abbotsford with her husband. Some of her favourite activities are reading, hiking (but not on super challenging trails!), and watching thunderstorms. Her pet peeves include people who tailgate when driving and students who don't put their names on assignments.
Mrs. Guse knew she had a calling to be a teacher when she was only five years old. She counts it a privilege to not only ensure her students receive an education that will prepare them for high school and beyond but also to partner with parents to raise youth of strong Christian character who can be ambassadors for the Lord wherever He takes them in life.
